Game Guide and Review: Dice-A-Roo

My last Game Guide and Review was on Scorchy Slots. The next game going in id number order is Dice-A-Roo with an id number of 10. If you have a request for a guide on a specific Neopets game, then just comment on any of my game guide posts and I will put that on top of my list of games to review. When I do not have requests, then I will just continue going in order by id number.

Dice-A-Roo

This is another Luck game. It is also one that really requires a lot of luck and unlike the luck game, Scorchy Slots, I wrote about yesterday Dice-A-Roo is a hard game to make a profit one. You can make a profit if you do not push your luck too far or if you get to the green dice, which seems to produce a lot of gifts, however in the end most of the time you will barely break even.

In this game you pay 5 Neopoints per play. You just press Roll Again if you want to keep playing. If you want to cash out your winnings, then you press the "Stop Playing and Collect ? NP" button. You start with a red die and when you get the proceed die you get to move on to the blue, then the green, then the yellow, and the silver die. The winning possibilities (and the losing ones too) increase as you get to better die, however most of the time you will get the Skull and Cross Bones end game die before you get off the red or blue die. I have found, though, that if you can get to the green die then you often win some food items and unlike the NP you win those cannot be lost. Below is a description of the different die symbols and what they get you or take from you.

Check Mark Symbol: When you get this symbol you win Neopoints to be added to your pot. The winnings can be a Small, Medium, Big, or Super Win amount. The amounts tend to get larger as you get to better die.

X Symbol: When you get this symbol you lose Neopoints from your pot. Like the winnings the amount you can lose goes up as you get to higher die.

Proceed Symbol: When you get the Play (like on a DVD remote) button symbol you get to usually proceed to the next best die, however sometimes it says Level Up? and you do not actually get to proceed.

Skull and Crossbones: This symbol means game over most of the time, however like the Proceed die it occasionally is a close call and instead you get the Phew! Nearly dialogue.

O Symbol: This zero/O/circle symbol means absolutely nothing happens. You do not lose Neopoints, you do not gain Neopoints, you do not lose the game, and you do not level up, but at least you are still in the game.

Present Symbol: This symbol first shows up on the green die and everytime I get to the green die I tend to get at least one present. They are always food. The screenshots below are all from one round and that does not include the second Strawberry item I got.

So, when should you end the game? Well, I personally only choose to collect Neopoints if it gets to over 20. Instead I like to try to get the food items on the green die, but that only happens like once in every 50 games, so in the end it really is not a profitable game. Also, it is not all that exciting either, which is why I do not play it much and prefer to stick to mostly flash games.
