Neopets Advent Calendar 2009: Day 3
Don't forget to visit the Neopets Advent Calendar today for your prize.
Day 3 of the Advent Calendar this year is finally up to my expectations in animated image. It has a cool Key Quest snowy themed animated with a Cybunny getting covered in snow. Definitely worth waiting for Neopets to come back up to see. Here's to hoping that is how the rest of the month goes.
Today's prizes include 994 Neopoints, which is a pretty good amount for the calendar. The item prizes include a Golden Key Cookie. Now if only it was real and I could eat it. The other is a Snow Drift Hat, which is a pretty cool item if you are into dressing your Neopets.

Neopets is Down
It is about 5am NST on December 2, 2009, and I am annoyed at Neopets right now. I get up around 4am NST (5am my time this time of year) and like to get the Advent Calendar out of the way and then the Dailies right at 6am NST when the Snowager is sleeping. Today, though, Neopets is still down an hour later. I am really antsy to see today's Advent Calendar prize. Well, I guess I will check back for my Dailies in an hour and go get some exercise in on my exercise bike.

This week's Better Than You features Heermeedjet and Merouladen. Below is their challenge statement.

Today I notice the whole Advent Calendar page has gotten a new look. There is a Winter Wonderfest Navigation on top. This relates to them launching Winter Wonderfest, which is an area with Neopets holiday stuff, such as the Neopets Advent Calendar, the new Stocking Stuffer Neocash thing, a link to Key Quest, a link to Terror Mountain, gift tags, Winter Greetings, and Winter Games. Really not all that spectacular, unless you are into Neocash items, which the Stocking Stuffer thing is interesting for.
The image for Day 2 of the Advent Calendar is somewhat more interesting than yesterday's, as it does have snow falling. The prizes are not that interesting to me, though. The prizes are 713 Neopoints (not bad), Shell Hairbow (I don't care for), and
Coral Recorder (what to do with this?).

Play iPod and iPhone Game Sounds through the Yamaha PDX-60 Speakers

When I am not playing Neopets, I am usually playing on my iPhone. I recently have been enjoying the Papaya set of games, which unfortunately currently is not available for downloading from the app store. It is the first set of games that has got me playing my iPhone at home and not just when I am out. When I am out and about I always play with the sound off, but at home it is fun to play with the sound. However, the phone sound is not that great.
Now I know about a solution. The
Yamaha PDX-60 are speakers that plays the sound with no lag and best of all wirelessly. It sure would suck trying to use it with speakers and a cord between the speakers. I also do not like using headphones because I have small ears and ear buds hurt. The Yamaha PDX-60 also have a cool feature of being able to charge two iPhones/iPods at a time. This would be great for me to charge my iPod while also charging my iPhone.
Besides playing games through the speakers if I had them, I would also play my movies (I have recently got several digital copies of movies I bought on DVD) through them. It would be great to have the iPod right next to me and not on a speaker system, but still get the speaker sound quality through its wireless capability.

Today marks the beginning of December. Every day in December the Advent Calendar in Happy Valley gives out a prize.
The prizes for the first day of the Advent Calendar is 608 Neopoints, How to Make Your Own Slide, and a Snowager Chair. The neopoints are always nice no matter the amount. I am happy with both of today's prizes, as How to Make Your Own Slide will add to the books my one pet has read and Snowager Chair will go in my Neohome, which I always like adding to.
I am a little disappointed in the graphic, though. It is just an image. They used to be moving animations, but it appears they will just be plain images this year.
