Random Contest Mural Entry

Finally, they ended the mural Random Contest. I submitted my entry in the first week and then they extended it twice. I did not win and usually do not win the Random Contest the few times I am inspired to try it, but I just do not like to share my entry until the contest is over. So, here is the photos of my Maraqua themed mural. I thought it was a cool concept, but at least those that won this time were legitimately better than mine, which is not always the case.

New Game: Berry Bash

There is a new Neopets game called Berry Bash. In this game you serve guests the berries they want, clean up after them, and seat customers. Very Diner Dash like if you are familiar with that game. It is kind of a fun game to play and something different. It is also one of those games that gets fast paced and can get you flustered.

Game Guide and Review: Tyranu Evavu

My last Game Guide and Review by id number was on NeoPoker!. The next game going in id number order is Tyranu Evavu with an id number of 47. If you have a request for a guide on a specific Neopets game, then just comment on any of my game guide posts and I will put that on top of my list of games to review. When I do not have requests, then I will just continue going in order by id number.

Tyranu Evavu

Tyranu Evavu is a luck game, but it is one where you do not always lose Neopoints at. I have found playing the max games daily I almost always at least break even. It costs 30 Neopoints to play and you just need 6 right guesses to break even with a win of 31 Neopoints.

To play you are shown a card and you have to guess if the next card will be higher (tyranu) or lower (evavu). The buttons start with tyranu on top of the evavu button, but be careful because sometimes they have evavu on top of the tyranu button. My method is to guess Tyranu for numbers 2 through 7 and Evavu for numbers 8 through 10, the Jack, the Queen, the King, and the Ace, which is the highest.

Game Guide and Review: Neopoker

My last Game Guide and Review by id number was on Poogle Racing. The next game going in id number order is NeoPoker! with an id number of 45. If you have a request for a guide on a specific Neopets game, then just comment on any of my game guide posts and I will put that on top of my list of games to review. When I do not have requests, then I will just continue going in order by id number.

NeoPoker!

This game costs 3 Neopoints to play and you get at least 5 Neopoints if you win. This is not to be confused with Round Table Poker. In this game you are only competing against your Neopet. The potential winnings are pretty cruddy, but there is the very rare change to win the 10,000 Neopoint jackpot if you get a royal flush. Also, you have absolutely no control over winning. What I mean is that you get you cards dealt and no letting you put back cards and draw again. Thus it is a pure luck game and involves no strategy, which is a small part of playing real Poker. Below is the listing of winnings. Note: You only get these winnings if it is better than your pets hand.

1 Pair: 5 Neopoints
2 Pairs: 10 Neopoints
3 of a Kind: 20 Neopoints
Straight: 30 Neopoints
Flush: 50 Neopoints
Full House: 100 Neopoints
4 of a Kind: 300 Neopoints
Straight Flush: 500 Neopoints
Royal Straight Flush: 10,000 Neopoints

Better Than You

This week's Better Than You features Princess Lunara. Below is his challenge statement.

"Oh, I do hate it ever so much when my little sister goes mountain climbing alone. It makes me so nervous. If you could go along with her I'd be much in your debt. I know you'll never be able to keep up with her the whole day, but if you can stay with her for a good while I shall reward you."

To beat him you must get 11,500 points in Shenkuu Warrior. I have a hard enough time getting over 2,000 at this game, so I will not be putting much effort this week, especially after failing last week.

Prize is Gnorbu Wool Boots for the 500 winners. Additionally, you get a Gold Trophy and 20,000 Neopoints if you are the first 10, Silver Trophy and 10,000 Neopoints if you are between the 11th and 50th, and a Bronze Trophy and 3,000 Neopoints if you are between 51st and 500th.

Good Luck to all and remember to comment and share your tips on this game to help other readers out.

Game Guide and Review: Poogle Racing

If you have a request for a guide on a specific Neopets game, then just comment on any of my game guide posts and I will put that on top of my list of games to review. Poogle Racing

Poogle Racing is a luck based game. There are races every 15 minutes (on the hour, quarter past the hour, half past the hour, and three quarters past the hour). Before the race starts you can place a bet of up to 300 Neopoints on one of the 5 contestants. The odds of winning are 3 to 1 on Poogle 1, 4 to 1 on Poogle 2, 5 to 1 on Poogle 3, 7 to 1 on Poogle 4, and 9 to 1 on Poogle 5. You can even feed a food item to the Poogle you bet on to try to get a better chance of that Poogle winning.

Game Guide and Review: Alien Aisha Vending Machine

My last Game Guide and Review by id number was on Cliffhanger. The next game going in id number order is Alien Aisha Vending Machine with an id number of 36. If you have a request for a guide on a specific Neopets game, then just comment on any of my game guide posts and I will put that on top of my list of games to review. When I do not have requests, then I will just continue going in order by id number.

Alien Aisha Vending Machine

The Alien Aisha Vending Machine is a luck based game. To play you need a Nerkmid, which can be a costly item to purchase, although occasionally you may get one as a random event. I have gotten several of them over the years playing on Neopets. I have used them in the Vending Machine a few times, but in the end it would have been better to just sell the Nerkmid. Those who are lucky may end up with something worthwhile. The prizes tend to be food items that sometimes can be rare. You also always get some Neopoints. The food items are usually worthless gross food, however, sometimes it is rare food. The real rare prizes that are worthwhile that you can win are paintbrushes.

When you put a Nerkmid in the machine you make several choices on how to play the machine such as which large button to push and how many levers to pull.

Basically I do not find this game worth playing, but if you like being a risk taker than go for it. Doing it at least once can be a good idea because you get an avatar.

Game Guide and Review: Cliffhanger

My last Game Guide and Review by id number was on Kacheek Seek. The next game going in id number order is Cliffhanger with an id number of 29. If you have a request for a guide on a specific Neopets game, then just comment on any of my game guide posts and I will put that on top of my list of games to review. When I do not have requests, then I will just continue going in order by id number.

Cliffhanger

Cliffhanger is the Neopets version of Hang Man. It is an interesting game if you are into word games, however, it is kind of annoying in that the phrases are often so long. I love word games, but do not play this one much because the phrases are just plain gibberish most of the time and there are more interesting word games on Neoepts, such as Word Poker.

As you play you guess letters. If it is in the puzzle, then the letter appears in the appropriate places. If it is not, then the Tuskaninny moves closer to the edge of the cliff. You get game over when he falls off. Note that when you pick Average and Hard you do not get to guess all the letters in the alphabet, but rather given only part of the alphabet to guess with.

Better Than You

This week's Better Than You features The Bank Manager. Below is his challenge statement.

"The National Neopian does its best to protect your Neopoints, but thieves these days are getting far too bold! We need your help to keep an eye out for such unsavoury folk. Just stand by these buttons and do what you can to stop them in their tracks."

To beat him you must get 2,800 points in Trouble at the National Neopian. My high score in this game is near 2,800, so I at least tried to beat it this week, but I could not get over 1,600 today. May try again tomorrow if it is still open.

Prize is Green Skeith Pencil Case the I book for the 500 winners.

Game Guide and Review: Kacheek Seek

My last Game Guide and Review by id number was on Faerie Crossword. The next game going in id number order is Kacheek Seek with an id number of 28. If you have a request for a guide on a specific Neopets game, then just comment on any of my game guide posts and I will put that on top of my list of games to review. When I do not have requests, then I will just continue going in order by id number.

Kacheek Seek

Kacheek Seek is a hide and seek style game. You start by choosing one of the many different areas to look for your pet in (list of them below). There are different levels of difficulty, which means there are more places that your pet could be hiding and also typically bigger rewards when you find the pets. The reward of Neopoints seems to be based on how quickly you find the pet. The winnings are not all that big with it typically being less than 20 Neopoints, but it is at least a somewhat interesting non-flash game to enjoy playing. After several games your pet will get tired of playing and you will not be able to play any more rounds for a while.
