PetPet Protection League Mission 4

Today I did Mission 4, as I did not notice it was out until today. Yeah, I continue to stink at reading the Neopets News even though I usually do check it. Anyways the missions continue to be easy, as I figured it out on my own again. You probably can to with a few missteps and having to start over or you can read the correct answers below the screenshots.

Answer 1: Fill the pit with cheese
Answer 2: Hurl insults at the stone heads
Answer 3: Dance a jig
Answer 4: Jam a toothpick into the mechanism
Answer 5: Become inexplicably hostile

Today is Annual Gormball Championships!

Gormball may not be one of the most interesting Neopets games, but I find it fun to enjoy a little now and then. I noticed today was the Annual Gormball Championships in the news, so I decided to play it

This is what is said after my first play today "Oh dear, you are out of the game :( You scored 51 points! (and gain that many Neopoints! Wait a second... today is the Annual Gormball Championships, right? Well then, your NP prize was just doubled! Hoorah!" I did not even realize it was a double neopoint day for this game. Cool, so there are two double neopoint games today!! Other is Igloo Garage Sale today.

*Is it just me or is this kind of a luck game? It seems sometimes the patterns are easy to memorize because they are very repetitive and/or you click one Neopet a lot. Other times it is all over the place and a heck of a lot harder to memorize.*

PetPet Protection League PetPet Park Celebration Mission 3

The 3rd Mission in the PetPet Park Plot looks daunting at first glance, but it is actually the easiest so far in my opinion. You just have to click on a portal and then adjust the gadget to the right frequency. Select one and then it will tell you how much you need to move it up or down to match it right. The last portal left ends up revealing the missing PetPet, which is a Pinixy.

Better Than You: Time Tunnel

This week's Better Than You features Commander Garoo. Below is his challenge statement.

"Hey guys, up for an inner tube race? First one to the finish line is the winner. Just wSloth wants to know what's behind this door, so you're going to help me open it. Understood? Alright then, what are you standing around for? Open it!"

To beat him you must get 1,700 points in Time Tunnel.

Prize is Spooky Rock for the 500 winners. Additionally, you get a Gold Trophy and 20,000 Neopoints if you are the first 10, Silver Trophy and 10,000 Neopoints if you are between the 11th and 50th, and a Bronze Trophy and 3,000 Neopoints if you are between 51st and 500th.

Good Luck to all and remember to comment and share your tips on this game to help other readers out.

PetPet Protection League Mission 2

In Mission 2 of the PetPet Protection League Plot related to PetPet Park you have to get three gems lit up by rotating an opal and open the window to let the light in. It really just takes some trial and error. The frustrating thing is after a few tries it resets and you have to start over again with the angling. It seemed that the positions did not always work the same each time, so it seems pointless to say how I did it as it may not work. I will say that it only took me about 15 to 20 minutes of trying to get it done, which for a Neopets plot that seems pretty easy. By the way you are trying to save the PetPet called Hiffios.

PetPet Protection League Mission 1

Last night I found some time while watching television shows to figure out the PetPet Protection League Missions, which are part of a Neopets site plot related to the new PetPet Park. They actually are pretty easy to do for once.

In the first Mission you must navigate through Terror Mountain Caves to find the portal to save the new PetPet Dryms. The correct order is Right, Left, Left, Right, Left, Right. In the last cave you just click on the open the portal button and then click to retrieve the PetPet.

Game Guide and Review: Nimmo's Pond

My last Game Guide and Review by id number was on Scarab 21. The next game going in id number order is Nimmo's Pond with an id number of 74. If you have a request for a guide on a specific Neopets game, then just comment on any of my game guide posts and I will put that on top of my list of games to review. When I do not have requests, then I will just continue going in order by id number.

Nimmo's Pond

Nimmo's Pond is an easy to learn game to play. You basically just guide the Nimmo around and shoot lily pads using the spacebar. You can also throw 3 bombs using the b key. Lastly you can gets bugs by pressing v to make the Nimmo use his tongue. The bugs give special advantages, such as speed (green) and an extra bomb (black).

Personally I find it gets boring fast. There really is not much to it. You just continue to attack more lily pads. I just do not see the fun in that. Plus, there does not seem to be a way to see what your current score is, unless I am missing something.

PetPet Park Plot Missions

I just realized there were mission plots related to the new PetPet Park. I have not really figured it out, yet. It seems you click proceed to mission at the end of the comics for the missions. Currently I started this cave one. Anyone more in then know than me have any advice for this plot? I would so love to be more informed on this and will try to feel it out myself if/when I get some time.

Game Guide and Review: Scarab 21

My last Game Guide and Review by id number was on Pyramids. The next game going in id number order is Scarab 21 with an id number of 70. If you have a request for a guide on a specific Neopets game, then just comment on any of my game guide posts and I will put that on top of my list of games to review. When I do not have requests, then I will just continue going in order by id number.

Scarab 21

Scarab 21 is a card game in which there are 5 columns that you try to put cards to equal 21 in. The column clears when you get 21. The game ends when you cannot place the card from the draw pile in a column without causing it to go over 21.

The cards 2 through 10 are worth their face value. Jacks, Queen, and Kings are all worth 10 each. The Ace can be worth 1 or 11.

The points for clearing the column vary depending on how you clear it. For example, you get 5 points for putting five cards in the column and not reaching 21. You get 21 points when you use an Ace and a ten point card. One of the best bonuses is getting the Ace of Spaces and Jack of Spades together, as it gives you 50 points. Another point bonus is for getting through the deck at which point the deck is reshuffled and the game continues.

Overall this is a fun card game in my opinion. I enjoy playing it when I have the time and at times I get a little too addicted to it.

Update on New PetPet Park Game: Catch a PetPet

Last night I mentioned I noticed the new game release, but it was not active yet. This morning I checked it out again and now it is working. In the game you try to find a specific petpet in a crowd of petpets. You lose if you run out of time or get three strikes for selecting the wrong petpet. There are only four levels and it is really really easy to beat. It is kind of boring because it is so fast, but it is at least a nice quick way to get some Neopoints.

New PetPet Park Game: Catch a PetPet

The newest PetPet park game has supposedly been released according to the Neopets News update, however when I go to the link it says game does not exist. The name is Catch a PetPet. It sounds like it could be interesting, but who knows. Anyways, if I remember I will check on it again later and give an update about my real feelings about the game when it is really released and I try it. It is getting annoying that the things keep being updating on the news and then the things are not active like Better Than You yesterday. Or maybe it has always been like that and I just keep checking right as it is updating.

Game Guide and Review: Pyramids

My last Game Guide and Review by id number was on Neopian Lottery. The next game going in id number order is Pyramids with an id number of 67. If you have a request for a guide on a specific Neopets game, then just comment on any of my game guide posts and I will put that on top of my list of games to review. When I do not have requests, then I will just continue going in order by id number.

Pyramids

Pyramids used to be a game I played a lot on Neopets and actually would probably be a good choice for when I am on my slow Desktop. It is a card game in which you can only select the cards open at the bottom of the Pyramid and you cannot get the ones higher until the ones below them have been gotten rid of. You get rid of the cards by going up or down one from the card on top of the deck.

The game is in part due to luck, but good strategy can help win when winning is possible. What I have found to be the best strategy is to try and get rid of the ones in the middle first when possible. Also, when deciding to go up or down choose the one that will get you the farthest without having to draw from the deck. Secondly, I go for the one with multiples of the face value as the final determining which way to go when it is a tie from the first part.

Overall this can be a fun time passing game. If you consistently play it, then you can maybe eventually end up on the high score list of total points. You can, however, only earn 5,000 Neopoints from it daily, although you can keep playing for free after you reach the limit.

Better Than You: Tubular Kiko Racing

This week's Better Than You features Kavi. Below is his challenge statement.

"Hey guys, up for an inner tube race? First one to the finish line is the winner. Just watch out for rocks and stuff. Ready? On your mark, get set... GO!"

To beat him you must get 925 points in Tubular Kiko Racing. Another game I pretty much stink at.

Prize is Grassy Bridge for the 500 winners.

New PetPet Park Game: Faerie's Folly

This week's PetPet Park game has been released and it is called Fairie's Folly. At first it confused me, but I finally realized you need to use the arrows and the mouse (i.e. it sucks on a laptop for right handed people like me). I did at least do better at it when I realized that I had to move the raft with the arrows to catch the petpets, but it is still hard for me because of the laptop key configuration. I wish they would let the old AWSD arrow configuration available as an option for those using laptops. Anyways it is something new and different to enjoy.

Better Than You: Pterattack

This week's Better Than You features Myncha. Below is his challenge statement.

"I'm heading back to the Town Hall with a report of an aerial assault against outlying villages to the north. Hurry and see what you can do to delay the force until I can send reinforcements!"

To beat him you must get 3,000 points in Pterattack. I really tried this week, but the best I could do was 2,100.

Prize is Primula for the 500 winners. Additionally, you get a Gold Trophy and 20,000 Neopoints if you are the first 10, Silver Trophy and 10,000 Neopoints if you are between the 11th and 50th, and a Bronze Trophy and 3,000 Neopoints if you are between 51st and 500th.
